Factory Reconditioned Cuisinart DIP-8 Stainless Steel Waffle Dippers Sticks Maker

Not bad..just don't accidently overfill with the batter
I got this because Cuisinart is a decent brand and i liked the look as well as the fact that it made sticks, which i thought my daughters would like better than round waffles. All in all it works well, waffles don't stick and the different levels do produce a good range of different levels of crispiness/browning. The one thing i dont like is that if you pour just a hair too much batter in it will come pouring out over the front onto the latch and dial when you close the top. This creates a huge mess and can make the latch stick, making it hard to open the unit to get the waffles out. If you under pour, the sticks just don't look as nice.

A nice waffle sticks maker
I ordered this remamufactured waffle sticks maker a week ago and got it today(with free shipping, took 8 days). It came with original package with dipping station and dipping cups as you see in the picture, pretty much like a new one. The Instruction booklet also included recipes: Basice, honey wheat, cinnamon brown sugar, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, chocolate brownie, chocolate chip graham cracker cookie, banana granola, savory cheddar cornmeal waffle sticks, as well as a waffle sticks mix that you can keep it in your pantry to cut down the prepare time.

I think this is a nice waffle maker, even though I had some problem removing the sticks out of the baking plate (this is my first time making it, maybe my batter was too thick), but this gave me a good chance to see how easy to clean this unit up. And it turnned out it wasn't that hard after the baking plates cooled down (Just for your information, this unit is not designed for you to take it apart for cleaning). The...

Great for kids.... but not the best waffler I've ever used.
Bought this becaue the kids love to DIP. For that, it's terrific. Also does a fairly decent job of cooking the waffles to the right done-ness, etc. The beeper when they're done is very helpful for us busy moms. All that said, the waffles are a little tough to get out sometimes, and often tear apart into the sticks during the process. I'm an adult... I want mine to stick together so that I can pile on the fruit, etc. It's also tough to get exactly the right amount of batter with the rectangular shape. For adults, get a high quality ROUND belgian waffle iron - they're so much easier.
